Workplace Giving

Workplace giving allows each of us to be a philanthropist by removing the burden of one-time larger gifts, by spreading donations out over each paycheck.  This unique donation opportunity allower employees to donate over the course of a year in small, manageable amounts.  Since the decision to donate only needs to made once, workplace giving provides a mangeable way to invest in the community.  It also allows employers to make a direct impact in their community.

Designate PSC Partners Seeking a Cure as recipient of your workplace giving campaign.  Make the following designations, depending on the campaign offered in your company:

Combined Federal Campaign (CFC)  #79370

United Way, or other campaigns: Write in "PSC Partners Seeking a Cure", and our address: 6900 E. Belleview Ave., Suite 202, Greenwood Village, CO 80111

Please note that we can only acknowledge your donation if your employer shares your name with us.  We encourage you to select PSC Partners Seeking a Cure as your charity of choice!

Stock Donations

As another donation vehicle, we have a brokerage account at Charles Schwab. Now, in addition to your cash gifts to PSC Partners Seeking a Cure, you can gift appreciated stocks which we can then sell and turn into cash. The tax benefit to you is enormous. Let’s say, for example, that you bought 100 shares of XYZ at $10 per share, and it has now appreciated to $30 per share. Instead of selling it and paying capital gains taxes on the $2000 profit, you can transfer the shares electronically to our account at Charles Schwab. You may then be able to take a tax deduction for the full market value of the security on the date of transfer WITHOUT incurring any capital gains tax. Here’s how to do it:

Just instruct your broker to use the following information for the securities you wish to donate:

  • Charles Schwab, DTC #0164,
For credit to: PSC Partners Seeking a Cure
    Charles Schwab 7110-4814

Send us a note (at contactus@pscpartners.org) informing us of your donation.

To contact Charles Schwab directly, call 800 435-4000, 24 hours/day, 7 days/week.

For transfer of stock from a current Charles Schwab account, simply submit a letter of authorization.

As always, please consult your tax advisor before making contributions of securities.

Matching Gifts

If your company has a Matching Gift Program for charitable organizations, please sign up and forward the forms for us to fill out. This is a wonderful way to make your donation multiply in value.
