Free Recycling, www.freerecycling.com provides only shipping labels that you print off yourself on your home or work computers. They do not provide boxes. This philosophy is based on conservation. When you go to their web site, on the left there is a box titled “Print All Forms”. After hitting that, scroll down to Purchase Price List and Print Free Pre-paid USPS Labels. Then, copy off the purchase price list which will have a place for our organization name as well as your name. There will also be a place to note our PSC Partners customer account number which is 20274. This number will also go on the USPS Label you print up to go on your box. Put the completed purchase price list into the box with your cartridges or cell phones, seal the box, put the label on and bring to a postal facility. NOTE: please follow shipping instructions. Please, DO NOT ship ANY laser cartridges and you MUST have a minimum of 5 ink jet or cell phones per shipping label or we will be charged back for them.

Funding Factory, www.fundingfactory.com, toll free number 1-888-883-8237, provides boxes with labels but encourages the use of our own boxes by providing bonus money for labels without them. This company will take laser cartridges as well as ink jets and cell phones but their minimums are higher; 8 laser, 12 cell phone and 18 ink jet cartridges. When you go to their web site, you will need to click on the heading “Business Support”. Then, click on “Register New Supporter”. Fill in the boxes titled Organization Information, Login information and Contact Information. You will use your own name and information for all these boxes. The only exception being the Beneficiary I.D. noted in the Organization Info. Please use PSC Partners I.D. # 124911. You will also be able to track your contributions to PSC on this site.

No matter what company you use, I highly recommend that you look around the web sites for pertinent shipping information. Each of these companies has templates for fundraising letters to help each of us generate more recycling business so please feel free to use these great tools. Both companies encourage bundling of the items in one box but again, please note their shipping recommendations.

To those of you attending the conference in Jacksonville, we will be collecting ink jet cartridges, cell phones and laser cartridges. We know it may take each individual a while to save up the number of units these companies are asking for so we thought the conference would be a great opportunity to gather as many as we can. Just a note about the quantities, all recycling companies are moving to these higher requirements due to shipping costs.
